Kandy Esala Perahara 🙏🌼


The kandy Esala Perahara or the kandy Daladha Perahara is a magnificent Buddhist Frestival for Buddhist all over the world.

The historical proccession is held annually to pay homage to the scared Tooth Relic of Buddha, which is housed at the Sri Daladhamaligawa in Kandy.



The Kandy Esala perahara also known as the Frestival of the Tooth is a festival held in July and August in Kandy, Sri Lanka.

The Daladha Perahara wich is also a national event for us, is a beautiful and colorful cultural festival for the rest of the world.


The  Esala Perahara the annual 10days trochight parde of dancer and drummers, elighituties and ornately decorated elephants, commemorates the sacred tooth.






Esala perahara is a grand festival in the mont of Esal held in Sri Lanka.

The festival ends with the traditional Diya Kapeema ritual, a water cutting ceremony wich is held at the mahawali river at Getabe, Kandy.
